  • Short NFO window: The Tata BSE Quality Index Fund had just 11 days (17–28 March 2025) to create awareness and drive distributor + investor interest. Traditional film production and design cycles of 4–6 weeks were too slow.
  • Complex concept: “Quality investing” is technical (ROE, debt ratios, capital allocation) and difficult to simplify for retail investors while keeping messaging compliant with SEBI norms.
  • Need for scale: Multiple deliverables were required — 90s explainer AV, 30s digital/TV film, 10–15s thumb-stoppers, KVs, and social creatives — all within a compressed timeline and budget.
  • Audience diversity: Communication had to resonate with both retail investors (emotionally, via cricket metaphors) and mutual fund distributors (rationally, via clear product differentiation).
  • Budget & efficiency pressure: High cost of traditional shoots and manual production workflows made it necessary to find a faster, leaner, more scalable solution.

Insight

In cricket, not every player can handle pressure. It’s the quality players who step up and win matches. Similarly, in investing, when markets are under pressure, it’s quality companies — with strong fundamentals, low debt, and consistent growth — that endure and help portfolios thrive.

While the strategic insight and creative idea were human-led, Generative AI was used extensively to bring the campaign to life:

  • Storyboards: AI generated multiple drafts of visual boards (stadium atmospheres, pressure moments, plant vs. tree metaphors) to speed up creative exploration.
  • Video Production: AI-assisted video tools stitched together stock + generated visuals with professional VO to deliver:
    • 90s Explainer AV (full story: cricket metaphor → quality companies → fund details).
    • 30s TVC/Digital Film (cricket pressure moment → stability of quality investing).
    • 10s & 15s Thumb-Stoppers (quick cricket cut + super “Form is temporary. Quality is permanent.”).
  • Key Visuals (KVs): AI-generated concept images (giant tree vs. small plant, trophy lift, cricket jersey table) inspired the final KV design.
  • Social Content: Carousels, GIFs, and WhatsApp distributor creatives built faster with AI-assisted templates.
  • Localisation: AI translation tools enabled an 8-language rollout in record time.

Efficiency Gain: The Entire campaign suite was produced in ~10 days instead of the 4–6 weeks needed via traditional workflows. Quality players win matches. Quality companies build portfolios. And AI gave Tata Mutual Fund the quality edge in campaign delivery.
